Spades Card Game

Spades is a four player trick taking card game played with two teams of players. The players sit across from their team mate, and after the cards are dealt, each player chooses a bid amout. The bid amounts for two players on the same team are added together to create a bid amount for the team. This bid amount is the number of tricks, the player believes he can take in the current hand. After the hand is played, if the number of tricks won by a team meets or exceeds the sum of their two bids, the team receives 10 points for every trick it bid, and 1 point for every trick that exceeds the team's bid. If the team fails to make it's bid, it loses 10 points for every trick it bid. In Spades, the trump suit is always spades. A player must follow suit if it has a card of the suit that was played. If it does not, it may choose to throw either a trump card, or a card of any other suit, but only a trump suit, or a card of the original suit played can win the trick.
